When shopping for a new power drill, visit your local home center first to see how they feel in your hand. Some drills look really great in pictures and in glossy catalogs, but when you pick them up, they just don't feel right. Remember, a heavy drill will be more comfortable to use on the jobsite if it is well balanced. A lighter drill may be more tiring than a heavy if it is poorly balanced. Also, some drill handles are thicker and are better suited for large hands or in colder climates where you might be wearing gloves.
